Contest

Barbecue is growing in the North-East. The proof is in the numbers. More teams are competing, and festival attendance grows every year. Last year over 60 teams fired up their cookers, and the crowd grew to over 14,000. The RibFest goal this year is for 70 teams to pit their barbeque skills against some sharp competition for bragging rights and a portion of the $10,000 in prize money. Seventy teams will mean more points for our big winners and more excitement for our contest teams.

Saturday is the New England Barbecue Society Grilling Contest. Teams will compete in four different categories.

  • Pizza
  • Flank Steak / Skirt Steak
  • Apple Dessert
  • Shrimp

Sunday is the Kansas City Barbeque Society Contest. Teams will compete in four different categories.

  • Chicken
  • Pork Ribs
  • Pork Butt / Shoulder
  • Beef Brisket
