BBQ Contest

Barbecue is growing in the Northeast. The proof is in the numbers. More teams are competing and festival attendance grows every year. Last year 50 teams fired up their cookers and the crowd grew to over 16,000. This year’s goal is for 60 teams to pit their barbecue skills against some sharp competition for bragging rights and a portion of the prize money. Limiting to 60 teams will mean a better contest atmosphere so we can take care of contestants. Our event is a NY State Championship. Saturday is the New England Barbecue Society Grilling Contest. Teams will compete in four different categories.

  • Pizza
  • Wrapped in Bacon
  • Apple Dessert
  • Salmon

All NEBS entries will have OPEN GARNISH and STUFFING IS ALLOWED. NEBS Grilling Rules can be reviewed at http://nebs.org.

Sunday 8/17

Sunday is the Kansas City Barbeque Society Contest. Teams will compete in four different categories.

  • Chicken
  • Pork Ribs
  • Pork Butt/Shoulder
  • Beef Brisket
